As founder and the main Site Administrator, Kasia is responsible for the majority of writing and site updates, as well as the aesthetic design concept and all technical aspects of Fandomaniacal.com. She is also responsible for moderating comments, as well as moderating articles posted by our contributors. She has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Alberta, which makes her prone to approaching Critical Analysis from an academic literary perspective.  She runs her own website development and media design company, CodeWord Media Design.  She is also an avid graphic designer and fan art aficionado, and enjoys creating new avatars, desktop wallpapers and other digital art centered around fandom.  Her extracurricular interests include poetry, poker, fashion, feminism, literature, music, politics and popular culture.

Avery, a longtime member and contributor to AlmeidaIsGod.com, has joined Fandomaniacal.com as an Editor, which means she will be contributing articles as well as moderating other contributor submissions.  She is an alumna of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and will be attending college in the fall of 2011, studying Creative Writing, Women’s Studies, Political Science and International Relations. Outside of her fandom life (which includes Lost, 24, Glee, Battlestar Galactica, and Harry Potter), Avery is interested in politics, specifically the anti-war and feminist movements, and enjoys relating these aspects of real life to the fictional worlds of popular culture.

Contributing Writer
Day Job: Freelance Multimedia Designer
Location: Maritimes, Canada

‘Jim’ (a pen name) was born and raised in Canada. For most of his life, he’s been sure of what he wanted and utterly clueless about how to get it. After a year of intensive study, he’s currently working as a freelance Multimedia Designer, a wonderful career that has to date been split 50/50 between honest paying work and Free Cell. So Jim has elected to devote his free time to his old hobby of Critical Analysis, primarily focusing on Lost. He also enjoys hiking, traveling, curling, golf, and reading.

Role:
Contributing Writer
Day Job: Student/Copy Editor
Location: Chicago Ridge, IL

Liz is a lifetime lover of both television and writing, and a longtime lurker at AlmeidaIsGod.com. If she were a television character, she’d be the obnoxious, funny friend. Liz has spent her whole life making others laugh, and looks at everything through humour-tinged glasses.   She is currently pursuing her Associates Degree in Mass Communications, with a minor in Facebook and Sleeping. She works as Copy Editor for her college newspaper and is a freelance editor in her spare time. Her ultimate dream is to be either a magazine editor, freelance writer, or professional couch potato. She maintains Overly Fabulous when it’s convenient to do so.  Outside of fandom, her interests include shopping, fashion, music, video games, boys, and bad decisions.

Role:
Contributing Writer
Day Job: Contractual Research/Insurance
Location: Quebec, Canada

Mathilde comes to Fandomaniacal as a long-time lurker at AlmeidaIsGod.com and keeps her public and private personas totally separate. She has a degree in Modern Languages and is currently pursuing higher education in Administrative Sciences, with a focus on insurance and financial services. She works part-time for a contractual research organization and also for an insurance company. That’s the obsessive-compulsive, neat-freak, rational side of her. At home, she’s a crazy fangirl for way too many TV shows, a movie-addict (one per day, minimum!), an avid reader, and basically a lover of all art mediums. She also loves to write short stories, have endless dinners with friends and spend time with her geeky boyfriend!
